General Description

The Guest Experience Director is responsible for the operational creativity “outside of the service”. This function is in support of weekly worship services and all other church ministry activities. This includes input into planning, design, and execution of weekly adult services and events; and Home Team oversight of activities outside of the auditorium (adding to the member/guest event experience).  The Guest Experience Director is responsible for the overall hospitality and first-time guest process. This includes outreach focused special events, newcomer follow-up and assimilation, and weekend service guest services. This position will also be the champion for on-ramping people to the serve team. This Full-Time position reports directly to the Discipleship Director/Pastor.


Essential Job Functions

1.     Oversee the home team (usher/greeters), hospitality, security, parking lot, experience and serve team onboarding.

2.      Assist in Planning, designing, and executing weekly adult worship services (outside of the auditorium).

3.     Provide support as needed in the execution of all special events and other church activities.

4.     Lead the creative use and proactive upkeep of adult worship facilities (Seasonal themes, special events, etc).  Have direct oversight of Experience team.

5.     Act as event coordinator for special events.

6.     Oversee both Home Team and Hospitality teams to plan and implement creative strategies, adding to the service/event experience of the Anthem members and guests.    

7.     Manage and continuously improve First Time Guest experience and follow-up.

8.     Act as the Serve Team coordinator -- be the champion of getting people connected to serve team opportunities.                                                                            

9.     Assist in the development of an annual budget for Experience department and manage spending to budget.

10.  Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

This position requires a minimum of 5 to 7 years experience as a staff or member in a ministry leadership capacity. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or extensive ministry experience. The successful individual will be a strong leader with a solid work ethic, possess the passion and gifts required to develop and improve creative use of the arts, and have the ability to administrate as a department head.
